Professor of Education

 Robin Simmons is an Education Professor from the University of Huddersfield, in the United Kingdom. His work focusses on social, economic and educational issues, including educational policy, the political economy of training and Education, and social justice -even though Robin is perhaps best known for his research into youth unemployment and the marginalised lives of young people, especially those classified as NEET (not in Education, Employment or training) or vulnerable to Become NEET. His most recent book, Education and Working-Class Youth: Reshaping the Politics of Inclusion, was Published by Palgrave Macmilan in 2018.

Investigadora

Autora do livro, Militant education, liberation struggles, conscioussness: The PAIGC education in Guinea Bissau 1963-1978 (Peter Lang, 2019), Sónia Vaz Borges se descreve como sendo uma historiadora militante e interdisciplinar, com um percurso enquanto organizadora política e social em Portugal e noutros países. Doutorada em história da educação, e com um pós-doutoramento em Nova Iorque no CUNY- Graduate Center, é atualmente Investigadora na Universidade Humboldt, em Berlim, no Departamento de História da Educação, no projeto “Educação para Todos”, e trabalha a temática da educação em momentos revolucionários, nomeadamente nos casos de Moçambique e Nicarágua.
